Caution falling trees!

There is an increased risk of spontaneous fall of branches and trees throughout the National Park, where the laws of nature govern the formation and termination of trees. Enter the forest at your own risk!

Natural conditions

The Krkonoše Mountains are one of the most important centres of geodiversity in the Czech Republic. Their exceptional location in the middle of the European lowlands and hills has enabled the natural evolution of an extraordinarily varied mosaic of alpine and Nordic relief, which has given rise to an equally varied world of plants, animals and their communities. The existence of the Krkonoše Arctic-Alpine tundra makes the Krkonoše an exceptional island of Nordic and alpine nature in the middle of Europe.
