There is an increased risk of spontaneous fall of branches and trees throughout the National Park, where the laws of nature govern the formation and termination of trees. Enter the forest at your own risk!
On the basis of cooperation with the Mountain Service and the Czech Association of Mountain Guides (ČAHV), the KRNAP Administration publishes eight ski mountaineering routes for this season, which lead mainly along marked tourist routes, but also outside them. Skiers can use them for their hikes.
Ski alpine routes represent tourist circuits for ski alpinists. These are routes that can be combined with other marked tourist routes and with other roads and non-forest areas outside the KRNAP rest zones. This is not an experience downhill in karts or a slalom between trees, but routes where it is possible to learn how to properly "pedal" uphill, downhill, or just enjoy a nice trip. Their creation is linked to the activities of mountain guides in the Krkonoše Mountains, and therefore they are mainly based on their needs.
The national park is established and bound by the terms of Act No. 114/1992 Coll., on the protection of nature and landscape, as amended, forest stands are also protected by Act No. 289/1995 Coll., on forests, as amended. In previous years, the routes were reserved by decision of the KRNAP Administration, now the rules of movement in the terrain are set in the KRNAP Visitor Regulations.
It is also important to point out that the organization of mass events for the public on KRNAP territory (e.g. ski mountaineering and avalanche courses and hikes) is prohibited by law. For such activity, it is necessary to obtain an exemption from the law granted by the KRNAP Administration in advance. Without an exception obtained, this is an illegal action.
